Hi all, I am a second grade teacher from the Bay Area, California. I am planning a traveling mascot project for my class this year, and I need some wonderful teachers from around the U.S. (or the world! that would be fun, too) to host our mascot for a week in your class rooms. All you would have to do when you receive him is send us a post card, write a little entery in his journal, take a class picture with him (camera provided) and then send him on his way to the next teacher at the end of the week. While you have him, your class may enjoy him however you wish. The last time I did this (about four years ago) the host teachers said that their classes really enjoyed him and they even found some interesting lessons to do involving him (geography, writing, etc.) At home, we will be tracking our mascots progress around the U.S. on a wall map using your postcards. If this sounds like something you would like to help us with please email me and I can tell you more. Also, I would be happy to host anyone's mascot here in the Bay Area. Thanks, Amy S.

Hi Amy, I read your e-mail with interest. I am a teacher in Bermuda. I think my students would really enjoy participating in your project, it's a great idea!
I teach the equivalent of US Grade 3 ( 8 and 9 year olds). Contact me if you think you would like to include us.
Hope to hear from you. <font face="Verdana, Helvetica" size="2">Originally posted by amystremel:
