chrismas sing along

I am a new teacher and have been given the assignment to put together a FUN Christmas Sing Along for the whole grade school. I don't have any ideas of what to do. Please help me ASAP! TIA Thank you, kat in utah

HI Kat in Utah,
A suggestion might be to ask each class to be 'responsible' for one or the songs you'd like to include. During the sing-a -long that class can come up and facilitate the singing of it as well as act it out or perform to it as the whole grade school sings along. Further to this, you might have the oldest grades (ie: grade 6's?) each help to work on this 'project' with a class (groups of 3-4 6's per classroom?) to help alleviate teacher stress and keep some friends among your new school teacher co-workers. I know that I hate having more work dumped on me just for something general - this will help keep the teachers working with you as well as in support of the project. Additionally - think of all the good things the older grade students can get from this challenge in mentoring and leading the younger grades!
