Help! Need Lesson on Apples

Hi. I am a student teacher and will be getting observed next week for the second time. I needed ideas for a really cute lesson on apples, as the Principal will also be observing. Our Kindergarten class will be discussing apples, so I wanted to do a lesson on apples. My friends have already given me ideas like reading Johnny Appleseed, tasting the apples and then graphing which apples students like best. Cute, but someone already did it. I was also told to read "10 Apples on Top" and have the students draw themselves with a certain number of apples on their heads. All cute ideas but I wanted something different. Maybe doing something with apple sorting or patterns. Any ideas????
