I'm a young teen in NY. After my summer ended, I realized how boring it was...so I thought up an idea. I love teaching younger children and I had loads of Teaching Tips magazines and catalogs around my house. My slightly younger brother and I decided to create our own summer camp/school for next summer. Right now, we're raising money and drawing blueprints to make a small one room classroom in our huge backyard. It's pretty hard, since we're only using the money we earn ourselves, but my brother and I are pretty determined. What will we do with it? Well, we had the idea of inviting five or six kids to our house next summer to be in our camp/school. A few already said yes. I'm also working on my First Aid card, so parents will be comfortable with leaving their kids with me for a day or two a week so we can go over the things they learned in the past grade and do fun things, like go on trips to the local pool for swimming and sports games. It'll be hard to do this but I hope I can. What do you all think? Do you think I could do this?
