I have taught 1st grade for 9 years. I am moving to 3rd. Tell me about curriculum, the children, scheduling, state testing, four block.... anything

You should probably tell us what state you are in. Each state - and many times each district- has different expectations and curriculum. That way people who respond will know if their information is correct for you.
