I was recently dismissed from student teaching, which resulted in my subsequent dismissal from my University. This was just four months prior to my graduation, and after achieving a 4.0 GPA. The reason that I was dismissed was because I spent time at a student's house (whose mother I had come to know) outside of school, helping him with his homework. I did this with the full consent of the mother, but without the knowledge of the school. Although it was never explicitly stated, I believe that I was dismissed because one or more parties thought that I had "bad intentions" (which could not be further from the truth). My University has reviewed the situation, but they will not reinstate me, nor will they clear my record to allow me to complete my student teaching at another institution. This has totally messed up my life, and a career that I worked so hard for. Do I have any recourse whatsoever?
