Does anyone have any ideas for what we can do to send off a student in our K class and help to make him feel welcome in his new class? thanks!

I have had this happen before to a student who everyone really liked a lot. We made an address book (with the parents' permission of course) for all of us. This way we could "write" letters to each other to stay in touch. Also, as the teacher, I had the students all make a book about the child to send with him. After he left I made sure we wrote letters and sent them throughout the rest of the school year.
