Job question...

I am graduating from college in the fall of 2005 and I am sort of at a stand still. My major is in Interdisciplinary Studies with the focus on education and family studies. I don't really know exactly what I want to do. All I know is that I want to work with children in a small setting. At this moment, I am considering of being a teacher assistant in the public/private school or in a special environoment. Does anybody have positive comments to say about working as a teacher assistant? Should I even go in that direction? Any suggestions?

If you live in my area an aide makes about 700 a month whereas a teachers starting salary is 32,000. You should look into subbing. It gets you the exposure to all grade levels to help you decide.
