Can you describe 1-2 of the most helpful or useful teaching tips you would share with a beginning teacher?
Hello, I am a Jr. in college who is looking into teaching Middle School grades.
I appreciate any and all replies.
Thank you for your time.

Show your students respect but don't be overly friendly with them. Never look to them for approval, remember you're the adult and have to make the decisions that are in their best interest. Even if they complain (which they are guaranteed to do) set your standards high, kids will rise to the bar level you set. If you set the bar low, that's as far as they will go. Kids are capable of a lot more than you think.
Also, make sure you are fair and consistent in your decisions and actions.
