Online Collaboration Projects

Are you looking for creative ways to engage today’s learners while ensuring your lessons meet both curriculum and technology standards?  Collaborative projects offer learning experiences that are authentic, purposeful and engaging.

The Online Collaboration Projects offered by The Teacher’s Corner are learning activities that provide collaboration between two or more classrooms.  The participating classrooms are in various locations around the world and use the Internet to interact with one another.

The students enrolled in a project are all working on a similar topic for a specific length of time.  They use the Internet to share their activities, findings and reflections. In addition to student collaboration, teachers are also be provided with the necessary tools to collaborate with one another.

You will notice below that each project includes "Areas of Focus." This focus refers to the main collaboration portion of the project. Every project includes activity, lesson and extension ideas that span the curriculum. You will also notice that technology is embedded throughout every project.

General Questions & Answers
I have a limited classroom budget. How much does participating in a project cost?
The cost for most, if not all, of The Teacher's Corner projects will be NOTHING! We understand how much money teachers have to spend each year and it is our goal to offer FREE resources and activities. If any supplies are needed to complete an activity, they will be basic everyday items. You can also ask parents to donate specific items if needed. Don't forget about your school and local city/county library!

I have younger students. How can a manage this manage my students and participate in this project?
Parent volunteers!! They are a great asset to any classroom. Ask for parent volunteers to be in your classroom during the specific times you are working on the project.

How many people can register for one project?
There is no limit! That's the power of our collaborative projects. We do not limit our registration. The more classes that register the more collaboration that can take place.
