Ad Blocker Detected
Welcome to The Teacher's Corner!
We have detected that you are using ad blocking software.
Everything on The Teacher's Corner is entirely FREE. For us to keep it free, we display non-intrusive advertisements. You should never see advertisements that have forced audio, flashing banners, pop-ups, fly-in advertisements or anything else that is intrusive. We work full-time to provide valuable content to our users, and advertising is how we keep The Teacher's Corner free for our users.
Our Request: currently we are asking that you turn off your ad-blocking software for our site only. We understand that you may not be interested in anything that we advertise, nor do we expect you to be interested. All that we ask is that you allow them to display.
We do appreciate your understanding. --The Teacher's Corner Staff
To disable adblocking, and avoid seeing this page please see below:
- Adblock Plus extension (Firefox): Locate the 'APB' stop sign (usually upper right on your browser), press the down-arrow next to it and click "Disable on theteacherscorner.net".
- IE7Pro AdBlock: Locate the blue 'e' icon in the lower-right corner of your browser. Right-click it, and select "AD Blocker" then "Don't Filter This Site".
- Ad Muncher: Right mouse click on the Ad Muncher icon in your task tray (looks like a cow's head) and select "Disable filtering." The cows head will turn red.
- SafariBlock: Open Safari Preferences, choose the SafariBlock tab, and click the "Disable" button.
- Spybot S&D: We have recently found out that Spybot is blocking advertising networks indiscriminately. If you have a recent version of Spybot installed, you may not be able to access our site without finding a way to disable it.
- Symantec Norton Internet Security 2005/06: If you are using Symantec's "Norton Internet Security" software, banner blocking may have been turned on without your knowledge. You can turn off ad blocking in Symantec NIS by opening Norton Internet Security. In the main window, double-click Ad Blocking and then uncheck "Ad Blocking". NOTICE: there is no reason to disable NIS, only the ad-blocking feature needs to be disabled to access this site. Alternatively, in some versions, you can click the Norton icon in the toolbar (lower right corner) and select "Allow ads from this site" OR uncheck the box that says "block ads from this site".
- Norton Internet Security 2007: The 2007 version of Norton Internet Security did not come with an ad blocking feature. If the Add-On pack was added, you can turn off ad blocking for this site by opening Norton Security Center. Click the Add-On Pack tab at the top. Click Ad-Blocking, then Configure. In the new window click "Advanced". Now click the button "Add Site", and type "www.theteacherscorner.net" (without quotes). Click OK. That adds this site to the left column. Now ensure that www.theteacherscorner.net is selected in the left column, and click the "Add..." button. In the prompt, click "Permit" and type "ad" in the window (without the quotes). Click Ok, then Click Ok again, then Again. You can now close Norton Control Center. Restart your browser, and you will be able to browse our site
- Kaspersky Internet Security: You have a couple of options: 1. Pause Protection: Right-click the red/black "K" (Kaspersky Icon) in the lower right corner of your screen. Click "Pause Protection". Choose a time period (15 minutes?) from the drop menu. Then click outside of the drop menu, and the window will disappear, and the "K" will turn grey. You can now surf our site for the time period chosen. OR 2. Turn Off Anti Banner: Right Click the red "K" in the lower right corner of your screen. Choose "Open Kaspersky Internet Security". Choose "Firewall" in the left menu. Then Click "Configure". Then choose "Firewall" in the left menu of the pop-up screen. Uncheck "Enable Anti Banner". You can now surf our site.
- ZoneAlarm Pro firewall: You can turn off ad blocking under the tab "Privacy" and then slide the "Ad Blocking" control to the off position. NOTICE: there is no reason to disable ZoneAlarm, only the banner blocking option needs to be disabled to access this site.
- AdSubtract: Right mouse click on the AdSubtract icon in your task tray (looks like an orange circle with a plus and minus sign) and select "Disable AdSubtract".
- WebWasher: Right mouse click on the WebWasher icon in your task tray (looks like a blue circle with a white "W" and then select "Deactivate standard filter".
- Safari: I was asked how to turn off the ad blocker in Safari. There appears to be a pop-up blocker in Safari, but that would not effect this site, so you can leave the pop-up blocker active. I would need to know what ad blocking 'plug-in' has been installed to give the method for turning it off.
- Other Blockers: There are many other blockers out there, some are included in anti-virus, spam software and spyware software. A few of these turn on ad-blocking by default. You may need to figure out how to turn it off (for our site) for you to be able to access our site.
